We adhere to the principle of "data minimization," collecting only the information strictly necessary to provide the service:

Account Data: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. This data is managed through Supabase to ensure secure authentication.
Payment Data: All financial transactions are processed by Stripe. Ask Bar does not see, store, or have access to your full credit card details or bank information. Stripe provides us only with transaction confirmation and limited billing details (e.g., zip code, country).
Usage Data & Telemetry: We collect anonymized technical logs and utilize analytics pixels (including but not limited to Google Analytics, Meta, Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat, and Mixpanel). This data includes browser type, device information, and feature usage patterns, used solely for performance optimization and marketing measurement.
Local Data (Your Conversations): This is a core privacy feature. Your chat history, prompts, and AI responses are stored locally on your device via the Chrome Storage API. This content is not transmitted to our servers, and we cannot access your private conversations.

3. Data Usage

The collected information is utilized for the following purposes:

Service Provision: Maintaining your account, verifying licenses, and ensuring the technical functionality of the extension.
Communication: Sending essential service updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
Improvements: Analyzing anonymized usage trends to debug issues and develop new features.
Marketing: Providing promotional information regarding Ask Bar updates or special offers, subject to your communication preferences.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We only share limited information with trusted service providers to facilitate the service:

Authentication & Database: Supabase (USA) for managing user credentials.
Payment Processing: Stripe for secure billing.
Analytics & Marketing: Aggregated and anonymized data is shared with providers like Google Analytics and social media pixels to measure the effectiveness of our outreach.
AI Providers: When you interact with the AI, your prompts are sent directly to the selected provider (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google). This data is subject to the respective AI provider's privacy policy.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

Ask Bar utilizes localStorage, sessionStorage, and browser cookies to function:

Essential: To keep you logged in and remember your interface settings.
Analytics: To understand how users interact with our features.
Redemption: To manage the activation of license codes from authorized third-party platforms.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Account Data: Stored as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your email and hashed password are wiped from our active databases immediately.
Local Data: All chat history stored in your browser is automatically removed when you uninstall the extension.

We implement robust technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

Encryption: All data in transit is protected by HTTPS (SSL/TLS).
Hashing: Passwords undergo SHA-256 hashing; we never store plain-text passwords.
Access Control: Strict role-based access is enforced for our backend systems.
IP Protection: While Kadir Kırca provides the service, the underlying technology is owned by KIRCA LIMITED(UK), ensuring professional-grade software standards.

8. International Data Transfers

As Ask Bar is a global product, your data may be processed in the United States (Supabase/Stripe) and Turkey. We ensure that such transfers are conducted under appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), to remain compliant with GDPR and KVKK requirements.

Depending on your location, you have the following rights:
